The Central Bank reported in a statement that financial entities will not operate on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
He Central Bank (BCRA) reported in a statement that the days of the New Year’s Eve holidays, December 24 and 31will give its employees a holiday and, consequently, the banks will not operate on both days. The measure is in line with the National State’s disposition to declare those two days off for the public administration.
The monetary regulator said that will not operate during the two holidays and invited private banks to do the same.
ATMs and digital channels will operate as on all holidays and the BCRA assured that it took all pertinent measures to guarantee the distribution of banknotes among financial entities so that they can recharge the ATMs. In this way, it is intended that the self-service points have sufficient cash and meet the demand during these days.
Likewise, funds can be withdrawn through the network of cash registers of businesses participating in the “withdraw cash” system. While the Bank compensations will only be made on Thursday, December 26 and Thursday, January 2.
