The crime happened in the town of Tajueco, province of Soria, where the victim had been missing since 2023. The photographs and a suspicious message were the keys for the Police to join the clues and arrest two suspects for homicide.

The photograph, which was taken in October 2024shows a man carrying a suspicious big bag in the trunk of his car he embroidered, in the quiet town of Tajueco, in the province of Soria.
The body of Jorge Luis Pérez Ochandarenathe missing 33-year-old man, was found dismembered and in advanced state of decompositionin the Soria cemetery. The case took a totally unexpected turn as a result of a suspicious message that the victim’s cousin reported.

What was the crime and the investigation like?
The town of Tajuecoof about 56 inhabitants, was shocked by the disappearance of Ochandarena since there were no indications of what had happened, until this moment. Google Maps was the essential tool to be able unblock crime and officially certify the murder by hand of two people.
The police investigation determined that the victim had traveled to meet his ex-wifealso Cuban, who had an affair with Manuel Isla Gallardonicknamed “The Wolf of Tajueco”, a 48 year old neighbor Known for his work in the town bar.

Deceptions and a message that changed everything
The reverse of the case occurred when the cousin of the victim reported a suspicious message that he received from Jorge Luis’s phone, in which he supposedly stated that he had met a woman, who was going to leave Spain and that was going to get rid of your cell phone.
That was the starting point for the Police cross-referenced the data and analyzed the Google Maps images, which showed Gallardo Island carrying what appeared to be a body in the trunk of the car, for what he should have used the forklift truck which can also be seen in photographs.
Meanwhile, the investigation continues to clarify the details of the crime, but both suspects, Manuel Isla Gallardo and the victim’s ex-wifewere arrested for illegal detention and murderer.
