An ARCA standard reduces the guarantee costs that permit holders have to pay to enable customs warehouses.
The Government, through the Customs Collection and Control Agency (ARCA) took a measure that seeks to reduce the costs of foreign trade. This is a cut in the amount used to calculate the guarantee that the permit holders of fiscal warehouses must provide, required by a special regime for those who intend to obtain the authorization of a place to operate as a customs warehouse.

The objective is that this results in a lower price for the use of deposits for foreign trade operators. Thus, the Resolution General 5630/2025 of the tax control body, which was published this Friday in the Official Gazette, established that the aforementioned guarantee will be calculated at a rate of US$50 (or the equivalent in pesos) per square meter up to US$2,000,000 or its equivalent in pesos .


According to the standard, this is within the framework of the Government’s objective of “rebuilding the economy through the immediate elimination of state barriers and restrictions that prevent its normal developmentwhile promoting greater insertion in world trade”.
What are the guarantees that must be paid for deposits?
It should be remembered that subsection m) of section 1 of article 453 of the Customs Code provides that the guarantee regime must be used when it is intended to obtain the authorization of a place for its operation as a customs warehouse and that the amount of the guarantee will be set. by this General Directorate of Customs, in order to ensure compliance with any tax obligations and criminal responsibilities of the depositary or of the person for whom he must respond, as the case may be.
