Burn in the mouth and wound: Lidl warns of popular candy
Attention in Lidl’s chocolate lobes: The discounter has started a recall for the sweets. You can cause burning in the mouth.
Correct lovers should examine the content of your snack drawer closely again: If there are lidl chocolate lobes in it, these may have to be disposed of. The background is a product recall from the Hungarian manufacturer Felföldi Édességgyártó Kft.
The company delivers chocolate bars from the “Misterchoc” brand to Lidl. All batches with the best before date up to and including July 31, 2025 can cause unpleasant side effects. “It cannot be ruled out that the consumption of the affected chocolate breos can lead to a burning feeling in the mouth and wounds of the tongue and mouth,” Lidl explains in a public product recall.
Lidl assured: Customers get money back – even without receipt
The 140 gram packs of the varieties of whole milk and dark chocolate are affected. Customers should not consume the products, the discounter warns. For this reason, Lidl has already removed the chocolate breos with the corresponding best before date. Anyone who has already bought the affected products can return them in all Lidl branches. In order to get the purchase price back, it is not necessary to present the receipt, the discounter assures in a message.
At the end of October there was a recall for the popular chocolate lobes. At that time, only the variant was affected with a dark chocolate and with a best -before date until April 30, 2025. This recall has now been expanded. Other products from the manufacturer are not affected by the problem, emphasizes Lidl.
