Vorwerk reveals new Thermomix – and all of this is different
It is probably the most famous kitchen machine in the world. Now a new version of the Thermomix comes onto the market. There are some new functions immediately – others only later.
After six years, Vorwerk is launching a new Thermomix model. Customers could now pre-order the food processor on the Internet, said Vorwerk boss Thomas Stoffmehl of the German Press Agency. The new Thermomix is to be delivered in the second week of April.
Other companies such as Bosch, Xiaomi, Moulinex and Kenwood offer comparable products. However, the name Thermomix has stuck as a generic term for kitchen machines for many people, as experts explain. “Thermomix is a cult and has an iconic status. Polarize strong brands, love or hate people,” said Martin Fassnacht, professor of strategy and marketing at the Düsseldorf business university WHU.
Thermomix is Vorwerk’s most important product
The Thermomix invented in 1971 is the most important product for Vorwerk. In 2019, the latest model TM6 was launched and since then, according to company information, more than 8 million times were sold worldwide. The Wuppertal family company recently spent more than half of the sales.
According to Vorwerk, the now introduced TM7 has several innovations. Accordingly, it should be possible for the first time to cook food and dishes without a lid. With 1,549 euros, the device costs 50 euros more than before.
Does speech recognition and AI use come with the new Thermomix?
In blogs and internet forums, it had long been puzzled which properties a new Thermomix could have. Among other things, speculation about the use of artificial intelligence and a way to control the device by language was speculated. Such functions are not included at first, but should be available in the future. A precise time has not yet been determined.
Products from Vorwerk are not available in normal shops, they are brought to the people by direct sales.
