Beware of the risk of injury! Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd warn consumers of the use of glass containers of a certain brand. Which products it is.
In the kitchen, glass containers are not only practical for storing food, but also optically more than the plastic packaging from the supermarkets. However, the copies of a certain brand now ensure risk of injury, which is why both and a recall have started.
Glass storage doses in the 3-series set from the Crofton brand are affected. It cannot be ruled out that the glass splinters when opening and closing the lid, according to Aldi’s product recall. Glass can either get into the food contained in the container, or you injure yourself on your hands.
These Aldi products are affected
On September 2nd, 2024, Aldi-Nord sold the glass storage doses from the manufacturer Aie GmbH as part of an action in the following variants:
- Set with a glass lid – GTIN (Global Trade Item Number): 4068706031380
- Set with pine wood lid – GTIN: 4068706031373

The numbers can be read under the line codes of the respective products and compared with those affected by the recall.
What to do if such a product is discovered? The discounter advises consumers to not use the glass containers and bring them back to the sales outlets. The purchase price will be reimbursed.
Aldi also asks the people who become aware of the recall of informing other people. The resulting inconvenience is regulated.
