The payment of the pension is a central aspect of financial planning in old age. Those who are not yet retired, but some pensioners often don’t know when and how exactly the pension payments go into.
Clarifying further uncertainties about the payment of the pension and knowing the factors that influence the payment date helps to really have rest in retirement.
Deutsche Post pension service
In fact, the German Pension Insurance (DRV) does not transfer the pension, but the retirement service of Deutsche Post. As a service provider on behalf of the DRV, this position also does tasks such as:
- Pension adjustment
- Inventory
- Company pension management
- Admission management at the Riester pension
- Changes in the name or address
- Changes to the credit account
The pension has been paid off since 2004, i.e. on the last banking day of the month for which the pension is intended. For example, the pension for the month of February is transferred at the end of February.
The payment of the pension depends on the time of pension. If you retired before 2004, you will receive the pension with presks – specifically, for example, at the end of January for the following February.
