A tenth of the letters and packages that were supposed to be delivered by post office on Friday have remained there for the time being due to a warning strike. This is completely inadequate, says Verdi-Vice Andrea Kocsis. “The colleagues with their warning strikes in the companies show that they expect significantly more from their employer.” The trade unionist demands an offer that is unable to reach.

In addition, Verdi is strong for three extra vacation days to take the increased workload into account. If you are a Verdi member, you should even get four. In turn, the post only offers an extra vacation day for employees who have less than 30 vacation days a year-around two thirds of the workforce.

Post emphasizes that the collective agreement must be economically justifiable. The scope for wage increases is low in the face of high investment costs and a letter in the digital age.
