Mercedes: Premium for employees lower than in previous years
Burglary, drop in sales, savings program. The mood at Mercedes-Benz was better. The premium is now also lower. How much do the employees receive?
After the drop in profits last year, Mercedes-Benz employees in Germany receive a lower premium than in the two previous years. You will probably receive a participation in results of up to 5,220 euros, as a spokeswoman said. With the April fee, the payment goes to around 91,000 entitled employees.
“Participation in the results is a voluntary service and thanks to the company for the support of the employees in this extremely challenging time,” said the spokeswoman. In 2023 and 2024, the premium was still at a record height of up to 7,300 euros.

Especially because of the poorly running business in China, the Stuttgart car manufacturer had suffered a significant drop in profits last year. The group result fell over a good 28 percent to EUR 10.4 billion in the year. Sales decreased by 4.5 percent to 145.6 billion euros. The result from interest and taxes slipped by almost a third to 13.6 billion euros. The sales had also decreased. In order to become more profitable again, Mercedes-Benz has announced a savings program.
