According to a survey, men are more satisfied with their work as women. Why is that? One reason seems decisive.
According to a survey, women are more dissatisfied than men with their work. Each fifth stated in the survey of the Forsa opinion research institute to be rather dissatisfied or very dissatisfied with their work. In the case of men, the value was twelve percent. The study commissioned the Job network XING from Hamburg. The result is the German press agency.
XING has the study on the willingness to change since 2012. More than 3,400 adults from Germany took part in the latest survey. Almost unchanged compared to the previous year, the willingness of respondents is to change the position. 36 percent are open to another employer or are specifically planning a departure (2024: 37 percent).
Chief of New Work: Women wear the main burden of care work
As reasons for a change of change, the respondents most often cited a too low content, too high a stress level and dissatisfaction with the boss. It is striking that among those willing to change in particular, women have to suffer from stress: the proportion was 44 percent (men: 30 percent).
The head of the Xing-Muttergesellschaft New Work, Petra von Strombeck, says that women are busy part-time over average, and they carry the main burden of care work. “It is no wonder that tight time windows for work and childcare lead to a high stress level.”
Care work or care work is understood, among other things, housework, childcare and care for relatives. According to figures from the Federal Statistical Office, women do more unpaid care work than men.
