The judges stated the sentence for two years and thus followed the request of the public prosecutor, who had withdrawn a large part of their charges in the course of the procedure.

In return, the 68 -year -old company founder granted the allegations of bankruptcy and multiple fraud. In the event of a confession, the court had given him a maximum prison sentence of a maximum of two years in the course of a so -called communication, exposed to probation.

For German Pellets GmbH from Wismar, according to its own world market leader in the manufacture and distribution of wood pellets for heating, an insolvency application was submitted in February 2016 after failed expansion plans. Then thousands of small investors lost their money.

According to previous information, the deposits, which were usually between 3,000 and 10,000 euros, totaled 270 million euros. The companies in the German Pellets company group are now being continued with new owners.
