US government: Dozens of trade deals are challenges

Donald Trump said the world with a giant customs package. Now a large number of trade deals are to be worked out within three months. Not an easy thing, says the White House.

The US government admits that the planned elaboration of dozens of parallel trade deals with countries around the world is an ambitious project within three months. “This is a huge undertaking. There is no doubt about that,” said the spokeswoman for the White House, Karoline Leavitt, in Washington. “This is a team performance,” she emphasized. “The president has a team of excellent consultants who accompanied him every step and they will all share the work.”

According to the White House, more than 75 countries have previously contacted the US government in order to come to a negotiation solution in the international trade conflict. More than 15 countries have already delivered specific offers.

In view of great turbulence on the stock exchanges, Trump had thrown back in the international trade conflict and had only just been exposed to tariffs for 90 days. During the customs break, there should be negotiations with the states concerned. The aim is to force other countries to force other countries to reduce trade barriers for their imports from the USA.
