The demand for heat pumps was long behavior, but now it attracts. But how does the heating law continue?
The demand for heat pumps attracts. In the first quarter, sales in Germany rose 35 percent to 62,000 compared to the same period last year, as the Federal Association announced heat pump.
After a difficult paragraph year of 2024, the heat turnaround comes back to the road to success, according to the managing director of the Federal Association, Martin Sabel. He spoke of “light at the end of the tunnel”. The central driver is the state heating funding, which has now been fully established.
The association expects a sales of 260,000 heat pumps for the year as a whole. This is far from the target of 500,000 new heat pumps per year that industry associations and Minister of Economics Robert Habeck had formulated in 2022.
The new building energy network (AG), which is often referred to by the traffic light coalition, is often referred to as a heating law, should ensure a gradual exchange of old heaters to climate-friendly alternatives such as heat pumps. The expected new federal government of Union and SPD wants to abolish the heating law again. The new opposite should become “open technology, more flexible and easier”, according to the coalition agreement. State heating funding should be continued.
According to Sabel, reliable requirements for climate -friendly and future -proof heating are needed. The association referred to EU requirements and climate policy goals. Reforms of the opposite should come quickly. The industry could use nothing less than uncertainty and unclear framework conditions.
