He will only be tattoo -free in ten years

Pete Davidson will have to live with his tattoos for ten years. Because 60 weeks should take the removal of a single tattoo.

Pete Davidson (31) will still have to spend a lot of time in the tattoo removal. “I started during Corona in 2020 and it will take another ten years,” revealed the comedian. The reason for this is the healing process, which lasts six weeks. “You need ten to twelve sessions for every tattoo. That is 60 weeks of your life just to remove a single tattoo,” said the former “Saturday Night Live” star and described the process as “pretty terrible”.

Tattoo removal is so painful

“It is like putting your arm on a grill and burning a layer away, and then you have to take care of the care and let it heal it properly,” he said. In the meantime, the tattoos on his arms are “almost gone”, and his neck and hands are tattoo -free. “But I still have to treat my upper body and back,” said Davidson.

So far, the US comedian has spent around $ 200,000 removed and thus removed around 30 percent of his tattoos. Davidson had stabbed around 200 tattoos in the past. In February, however, none could be seen in photos of a Reformation campaign. Also on the upper body, he no longer seemed to have tattoos – however, that was probably ensured by opaque make -up.

Tattoos are reminiscent of his past Davidson

The fact that Davidson laser his body jewelry is related to a lifestyle. “I used to be drug -dependent and a sad person, and I felt ugly and had to cover myself,” he revealed the reason for his tattoos. For him, they are a memory of “a sad person who was very insecure”. Laving the tattoos removed is a kind of new beginning. “When I look in the mirror, I don’t want to be reminded that I was a damn drug addict,” he said.

This time is now behind him. Davidson is said to be Clean since September. At the end of July, he had reported that he had admitted himself in a “wellness facility”. As early as 2023, he was in therapeutic treatment due to psychological problems. He does not want to say goodbye to all tattoos as part of the life change. “He wanted to keep two or three”, Davidson said in the “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”.
