Commerce agreed to an increase of 5.4% in three months and the basic reaches $ 1,123,000

The agreement establishes a cumulative increase, distributed in three monthly sections. In addition, fixed sums were agreed for a total of $ 115,000 to be paid in installments.

The trade union together with the business entities reached a new joint agreement with a rise in the 5.4% in three sections for the months of April, May and June and the basic will reach the sum of $ 1,123,000.

The Argentine Federation of Commerce and Services Employees (FAECYS), together with the Argentine Chamber of Commerce (CAC), the Argentine Confederation of the Medium Enterprises (CAME) and the Union of Commercial Entities (UDECA), signed a new agreement in the framework of the annual joint 2024/2025.

The agreement establishes a salary increase of 5.4% cumulative, distributed in three monthly sections: 1.9% in April, 1.8% in May and 1.7% in June. In addition, fixed sums were agreed for a total of $ 115,000, to pay in installments of $ 35,000, $ 40,000 and $ 40,000, respectively. The latter will join the basics in July.

These increases are added to the increase already agreed for the first quarter of the year (January, February and March), which consisted of a cumulative 5.1%, distributed at auction of 1.7% monthly.

In this regard, the secretary general of Faecys, Armando Cavalieri, He said: “Our goal is to sustain the purchasing power of salary to inflation that still persists. This agreement is part of a constant monitoring that we carry out to protect the entry of working families.”

And he added: “We are closely following the situation of formal employment in the sector, since we see with concern some deceleration signals.”
