Raúl Richter: Would he take part in “Celebrity Big Brother”?

Raúl Richter starts his new job at “Notruf Hafenkante”. In the interview, he reveals which reality show he would also be interested in.

The police series “Notruf Hafenkante” is one of ZDF’s most popular early evening formats. The 16th season starts on Thursday (September 9th) at 7:25 p.m. In addition to familiar faces, the 26 episodes also feature new characters in the Hamburg PK 21. Among other things, TV star Raúl Richter (34) is slipping into the police uniform for the first time. He embodies Nick Brandt, Franzi Jung’s new partner (Rhea Harder-Vennewald, 45).

“During the casting, I noticed how good the chemistry is between Rhea and me,” explains the former “good times, bad times” actor. To what extent the filming of “GZSZ” and “Notruf Hafenkante” differ, with whom he will watch the first episode and which TV show the former “Let’s Dance” candidate would like to take part in, Raúl Richter spoke to the news agency spot on news reveal.

You are now a permanent member of the “Notruf Hafenkante” team. How did you get involved?

Raúl Richter: I received the casting request through my agency and then went to Hamburg to audition in February 2020. Already during the casting I noticed how good the chemistry between Rhea and me is. In the end it worked.

What was the first thing you thought when you were accepted for the role?

Judge: I got a call from our producer and at the time I was standing in my living room – my girlfriend next to me. This type of call is difficult to describe, of course I was incredibly happy. It always takes a little while until you realize all of this.

Your character Nick Brandt is a lone wolf. Would you also describe yourself as such?

Judge: On the contrary. I love to be around people, to do nonsense and I am more in need of harmony.

What do you like most about your new role as a police officer?

Judge: The uniform does something with you … to fight for the good.

Would you be a good police officer yourself?

Richter: I never thought about that before. But since I’ve been playing a cop, I’ve found the job more and more attractive.

You played with “GZSZ” for years. What are the differences to “emergency call harbor edge”?

Richter: The shooting workload for “GZSZ” is around three times as much. Since “GZSZ” is broadcast every day and “Notruf Hafenkante” only once a week, we have accordingly more time for the scenes with “Notruf Hafenkante”.

The series takes place in Hamburg. How do you like the city?

Richter: Berlin remains my home. But Hamburg can do a lot: I love all the water and the fish sandwiches.

They also had to shoot under corona conditions. How was that for you?

Judge: Weird at first. The masks on the set, the distance to colleagues, no contact … that’s what the film actually lives from – telling stories between two people. But by now you have got used to it. And it looks like it’s getting better.

How nervous are you before the broadcast? Who are you going to watch the first episode with?

Judge: Of course I’ve already seen the consequences. I’m in Hamburg and watch it with my girlfriend. My friends all know and will of course also watch.

You have already been seen on “Let’s Dance” and the jungle camp. Is there another show you’d like to go to?

Judge: I find “Celebrity Big Brother” very interesting. If I’ve “survived” the jungle, it should be a piece of cake.
