In “Ready Steady Love” Filip Pavlović plunges into another dating show adventure. In an interview, he reveals details about the new show.
Reality TV star Filip Pavlović (28) once again faces the challenge of a dating show. In “Ready Steady Love – In 50 Dates for Luck” (eight episodes from September 22, 2022 on Discovery +), he wants to find out alongside Janine Pink (35) and Eva Benetatou (30) how to find great love these days.
In an interview with the news agency spot on news, the former “Bachelorette” candidate explains why he is again taking part in a dating format, why it is difficult for him to meet a woman and what his dream woman has to bring with him. In addition, the reigning king of the jungle reveals why he is looking forward to the upcoming jungle camp season and what tips he gives future campers.
Why are you doing another dating show?
Filip Pavlović: I’ve been through one or the other dating format, like “The Bachelorette” and “Bachelor in Paradise”, but this format is not a normal format. It’s not necessarily about finding the woman of your dreams, but about trying different ways to date someone. Of course, this is always very individual. I try myself. What is the easiest way to get to know someone?
That means I take the viewers with me and everyone can get an idea of how easy it is to get to know someone and which dates are not recommended. And if there is a perfect match – why not? I have to say: I liked one date more, the other less. There is that too. It would also be a lie if you said that every date was great and that you had a match on every date. All in all, I have to say that I had a hell of a lot of fun with the whole show.
In the show you do a pole dance course, among other things. How was that for you and what dating strategies on your part can viewers look forward to?
Pavlović: Of course I can’t say too much now, because people should tune in and see what happens. I can definitely promise it will be very, very funny. It gets emotional. It’s going to be humorous. You will see Filip as you got to know him and as you know him.
Why is it difficult for you to find the woman of your dreams? Is it more difficult as a public figure?
Pavlović: At first I thought: Okay, the better known you become, the easier it is to get to know someone. But it’s gotten more difficult, I have to say. I miss people wanting to get to know me and I don’t want to be bragged about because I’m a public figure.
What does a perfect date look like for you?
Pavlović: There is no such thing as a perfect date for me. But the people running the date make it the perfect date if you get along great.
What does your dream woman need to bring with her in terms of looks and character?
Pavlović: Little feet would be nice, everything else will follow.
Keyword planning for the future: Are marriage and children an issue for you?
Pavlović: I’m grateful for the time I’m experiencing and I’m enjoying it to the fullest.
It is already clear that the jungle camp will return to Australia in 2023 and that there will be a new moderation duo. What do you say about the two aspects?
Pavlović: Jan Köppen is a good friend. In any case, I’m glad that he did. Of course, I’m still very sad that Daniel Hartwich left, but I believe that Jan Köppen is a very good replacement and a very good replacement who will do at least as well as Daniel. I’m in good spirits.
Rumors are already circulating about possible candidates. Who would you wish for as a candidate in the camp?
Pavlović: We have speculations about the candidates every year. Unfortunately I know as much as the others. I’m excited to see who will be there, I’m looking forward to each and every one and I’m already looking forward to the next season. It’s also going back to Australia, which makes me very happy. Back to the roots after “Down Under”! Of course I hope that it will be a fun season – like I know it from every season.
As the king of the jungle, what tips can you give future campers?
Pavlović: What I can give the new campers: You should always stay true to yourself, you should never pretend and you shouldn’t try to be someone you’re not. You should speak your mind, you shouldn’t think too much about what you can and can’t say in order to look better. You should just play yourself and show your character. And if you don’t share an opinion, then you should say so and not just try to look good.
