A second season was released in 2019, and the series soon gained a huge fan base. However, despite the show’s popularity, Netflix suspended plans for a third season in 2020.

Now, in an interview with the French media JDDFincher has confirmed that the series will not return.
“I am very proud of the first two seasons. But it’s a particularly expensive show and, in the eyes of Netflix, we didn’t attract a large enough audience to justify such an investment,” the producer said.
“I do not blame them. They took risks to launch the series, they gave me the means to do what I dreamed of with Mank [su película en blanco y negro ambientada en Hollywood en la década de 1930] and allowed me to venture down new paths with The Killer [su próxima película de suspenso y crimen protagonizada por Michael Fassbender como asesino a sueldo]”.
Last year, one of the directors of the series, Andrew Dominicsaid Holden Ford and Bill Tench were ready to meet real Hollywood stars as they explored making classic serial killer movies like Manhunter and The silence of the inocents.
“What they were going to do with Season 3 was go [a] Hollywood,” Dominik told Collider. “So one of them was going to hang out with Jonathan Demme. [el director de El silencio de los corderos] and the other was going to hang out with Michael Mann [Manhunter].
“It would all be about shaping him by making him kind of the zeitgeist, the public conscience. That was the season that everyone really hoped they would do, when they would get out of the basement and start.
