She prefers to go for walks without listening to a podcast: At the start of her new format with Riccardo Simonetti, Anke Engelke reveals her podcast preferences.
Comedian Anke Engelke (57) listens to podcasts in the kitchen and when traveling by train. “These are perfect places for me. For example, I can’t go jogging or walk with a podcast.
I like to let noises affect me,” said the woman from Cologne. “But when cooking in the kitchen, nobody needs the noises, and I know them too.” She doesn’t have a favorite podcast, she only listens to podcasts when recommend someone something to her.
A “valuable instrument”
The new podcast by Engelke and the entertainer Riccardo Simonetti (30) started on Friday. In “Quality Time with Anke and Riccardo”, the two want to give weekly insights into their lives and professional lives – and also create greater awareness of queer people.
” s are a very valuable tool if you want to convey a message or empower people,” said Simonetti from Berlin, who advocates for sexual and gender diversity. “You’re so immersed in people’s lives. They hear it all to themselves when they’re in the bath, doing something at home, or sitting on the train. It’s also a gift when they pay attention to what you’re saying. “
