Miss Germany: Kira Geiss wins – and that was her competition

The new Miss Germany 2023 was crowned in Europapark Rust on Saturday evening. A theology student from Magdeburg, Kira Geiss, won the race.

Since 2019, the concept of the Miss Germany election has no longer been based on the appearance of the participating women. According to the organizers, the candidates will be judged on the basis of their character. It is particularly interested in what women stand for with their names and what they want to do. On the homepage of the Miss Germany election it says: “The newly established Miss Germany Studios offer the platform for tomorrow’s female role models in particular.”

Miss Germany: Frauke and Nele Ludowig moderated the event

The presenter Frauke Ludowig led through the evening together with her daughter Nele, who apparently inherited her mother’s talent. Until now, Frauke Ludowig was part of the jury of the competition, now she is on stage with the candidates and leads through the evening together with her daughter. Nele Ludowig is proud to moderate alongside her mother: “It is a great honor for me to moderate the Miss Germany final. With my mother I have the best possible support at my side, from whom I can learn a lot. I’m really looking forward to the moderation and the strong personalities at the microphone.”

Bruce Dranell, on the other hand, took a seat on the jury chair as chief juror, who also underlined the reorientation of the elections in a statement on the homepage: “We are not looking for models, but people who inspire. I am particularly interested in the stories behind the people . I am happy to accompany the special characters on their way.”

Kira Geiss was happy about the Miss Germany 2023 award on Saturday evening. She prevailed against 15,000 candidates and in the end against another nine finalists. As a prize, Kira Geiss will receive 25,000 euros for a project of her choice.
