How Hugh Jackman prepares for Deadpool 3
“Gathering. A day in the life”, the actor has written along with a photo in which we see the six meals he makes in one day: “Thank you, Chef Mario, for helping me to be healthy and well fed while I become Wolverine again” .
As reported by the Variety portal, Jackman’s diet includes black bass (2,000 calories), salmon (2,100 calories), two chicken burgers (1,000 calories each) and two sirloins (1,100 calories each). Thus, the actor consumes 8,000 calories a day to put on the claws.
To give us an idea of how strong this caloric intake is, it should be noted that Jonathan Majors ate 6,000 calories over four months so he could step into the skin of a bodybuilder in Magazine Dreams.
In January, during his speech on the Stephen Colbert show, Jackman already said that he intended to eat 6,000 calories a day to become the X-Men again. “I’m getting stronger. Right now I eat about 4,500-5,000 calories”he claimed.
As he recounted on the show: “I was wearing a heart monitor for The Music Man [el musical que protagonizaba] because my trainer told me: ‘I need to know what I work with here, because I’m trying to make you gain muscle.’ He burned 1,500 calories in the musical, eight times a week. So he told me: ‘Ok, you have to eat.’ I ate 4,500 calories a day, it wasn’t pretty. Now I just eat and train.”
