The franchise’s producer would “love” to see the actor return as Captain Jack Sparrow.
Johnny Depp could return to the franchise Pirates of the Caribbean in your next installment. The actor who was stripped of several jobs in Hollywood after legal problems with his ex-wife Amber Heard, was the face of movies like Captain Jack Sparrow. And, now it seems that the producer behind the hit series, Jerry Bruckheimerhinted that Depp could return to the role in a sixth film in the franchise.
Bruckheimer was on the Oscar carpet on Sunday for his work on Top Gun: Maverickand during a question and answer session with Entertainment Tonight revealed that he would “love” Depp to return in the next film of Pirates of the Caribbean.
When asked if he could say anything about the new movie in the series owned by DisneyBruckheimer said: “We are all working on it [la próxima película de Pirates ]. We’ll see how it turns out. We’re very excited, I think we’ll have a great script, and we’re getting close.”
Pressed further by any news about a possible Depp return, he said: “We’ll see. I’d love to. I would love to have him in the movie, that’s all I can tell you.”.
Since the end of the Heard trial, Depp has returned to the spotlight for his musical adventures, having played alongside the legendary guitarist. Jeff Becka close friend, on numerous occasions before his death earlier this year, Depp is now ready to pay one last tribute to his longtime friend alongside Eric Clapton.
