Buenos Aires graduate trip: what is the registration period

The Buenos Aires Undersecretary of Tourism, Soledad Martinezrecalled this Wednesday that until next March 31 it’s found registration open to the 2023 edition of the graduate trip, intended for that public and private high school students who are in their last year can take a free group trip to touristic destinations of the Buenos Aires province.

According to Martínez, these benefits are financed by the provincial government and they are part of one policy that seeks to equalize opportunities and encourage the tourist activity in low seasonsince they are carried out between August and October.

“It is a well-rounded policy: it works for the children, to whom they employ directly, to the companies in the sector and to the local economies that receive it. It implies an impact on the territory and gives joy to families who perhaps never thought that their children could have a trip like this, which usually costs around $300,000,” he emphasized.

Through that program, In 2022, more than 120,000 young people from Buenos Aires traveled from some 4,000 schools in municipalities of the suburbs and the interiorwith a total economic impact on regional economies of almost $7 billion, contemplating both the provincial investment and the expenses made voluntarily by the students.

In this sense, the Minister of Production, Augustus Coast, He recently stated that “thanks to this program we were able to equalize opportunities: many students were able to have their end-of-year trip and get to know the sea, the mountains and the different attractions that the Province has.”

“Students, fathers and mothers, thank us very much for this program, and that fills us with joy. In turn, we generate an enormous impact on travel agencies, hotels, gastronomy, commerce, transportation, economic activity, and employment in the municipalities that receive graduates,” he continued.

Thus, he stressed that “with the End of Course Trips we were able to generate economic movement in the tourist municipalities during the low season. This program is a round policy, since it equalizes opportunities and generates more production and more work.”
