Turf presented a new cut from his album Renaissanceit is about “Mixed feelings” that has the participation of The Authentic Decadents.
The video was directed by Bethlehem Assad and starring both bands together with Lula Rosenthal. According to a statement from the band, the clip is a faithful example of the union of both groups through time and exemplifies a little more the meaning of the album.
Turf and Los Decadentes are two icons of national music, two emblems of the popular melody of Argentina: fiesta and bonfire. The video clip is a crazy group therapy session that alternates with archival footage of the two bands. “Thanks to this song there is more around me than I could imagine”, they sing in the chorus.
Advances such as “Kittens and Mice”, “Bad Decisions”, “Which”, “I am leaving behind” and “Tell me one” were already known from Renaissance.
The band worked with different artistic producers, some of the most important in the Argentine industry, such as Álvaro Villagra, Cachorro López, Juanchi Baleirón and Ezequiel Araujo.
He also added the contribution of some invited artists in addition to the Decadents were ca7triel (“High Trip”) and gabriel orozco of you point it out to me (“That Being”).
With this new work, Turf combines his rock roots with his modern search and full of nuances that end up outlining an elegant funky, pop and groove sound.
