The portrayer of tycoon Logan Roy on the acclaimed HBO series has no interest in stretching the show just because of its success.
Last month, when the creator of succession, Jesse Armstrong, announced that the fourth season of the Emmy-winning HBO drama would be its last, fans on the networks were surprised. But Brian Coxwho plays the fierce tycoon and family man Logan Roy, in dialogue with Variety applauds Armstrong’s decision. “He’s very disciplined in that way, and he’s also very British in that way,” says Cox, who is Scottish, and in conversation seems to mention birthplace to explain the behavior. “The American inclination is to stretch for all it’s worth”.
