Damon landed a role in the western “Geronimo” and made good money from it. “We don’t have to worry for a year,” he told Affleck at the time.
Such problems are a thing of the past for Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. But it fits with their story that they achieved great success together: they received the Oscar together in 1998 for their screenplay for “Good Will Hunting” – both of them also take on leading roles in the film. They had previously tried unsuccessfully to sell the script in Hollywood for years.

Two great acting careers followed, and Damon and Affleck remain close friends.
