According to his own statements, Chico, whose real name is Kürsat Yildirim, had played the lottery for 15 years – in the autumn the big hit finally came. The Dortmunder had won almost ten million euros, actually enough to have provided for a living. But even then Chico had announced that he would continue to diligently fill out lottery tickets. He just loves the “thrill” about it.
And indeed: The 42-year-old has cleared again, with five correct ones. This time it was almost 2700 euros, said Chico of “Bild”, more precisely: 2684.90 euros. Only peanuts for a million-dollar winner, Chico doesn’t have to pay attention to four-digit amounts when it comes to his account balance. That’s why he immediately gave away his latest prize. The man from Dortmund with a great passion for the lottery can apparently rely on his lucky streak: he has won for the third time in six months. “I can’t believe it – that’s crazy,” Chico told “Bild”. Just a few weeks after the million-dollar jackpot, he was successful again and pocketed 1,700 euros.
After his big win, Chico immediately resigned from his job as a crane driver and – contrary to all the recommendations of experts – went public. For months he was omnipresent in the media and social networks, buying expensive cars and luxury clothes. “The name Chico was ruined. I wanted to heal it again,” said the man from Dortmund, who had previously had drug problems and been in prison star-Interview.
