The first Monday in May can only mean one thing: the most notorious fashion event of the year is about to enter the next round. And this year, too, the looks of the stars and starlets at the Met Gala testify to extravagance, creativity and elegance.
The event, held as a fundraiser for the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum in New York, was held this year in memory of fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld. The museum also exhibited the works of the designer, who died in 2019.
Hundreds of invited celebrities, including stars like Penélope Cruz, Rihanna, Bradley Cooper and Dua Lipa, walked the famous red carpet of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in unusual outfits to honor Lagerfeld under the motto “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”.
