The son of Oscar winner Maximilian Schell, Dimitri Schell, has the family property auctioned off by the auction house Aurena. Bids can be submitted until May 20th.
From the bike to the prayer chair
“I’m hardly here myself,” Dimitri Schell explains the auction. In addition, the number of objects in the property is enormous. That’s why 650 pieces are going on sale. These include valuables such as the oil painting “Jedermann” by Gottfried Kumpf (starting price: 4,500 euros), a book with an original Dürrenmatt dedication (starting price: 25 euros), the typewriter (25 euros) and the bicycle (35 euros) by Maximilian Schell or the prayer chair (35 euros) and the double bed (60 euros) by Maria Schell. The bids will be awarded on May 20th at 9am. Information is available at aurena.at.
