Elton John and more: Stars congratulate Charles on the coronation

Lots of celebs have taken to social media to hate King Charles III. congratulated on his coronation. They also shared many memories.

King Charles III (74) was officially crowned king at Westminster Abbey this Saturday (May 6). Numerous celebrities congratulated him on social media for this special event.

“Congratulations to His Majesty King Charles III on his coronation,” wrote British music star Elton John (76).

Victoria Beckham (49) remembered on the coronation day, which among other things shows pictures with her former girl band Spice Girls and the then Prince Charles. “I have so many fond memories of meeting His Majesty throughout my career and he is always so supportive and kind. Today is a truly historic day and I feel incredibly humbled to celebrate King Charles III and Queen Camilla, as they begin their new roles.”

Ex-Spice Girl colleague Geri Horner (50) also published old pictures with the newly crowned monarch and commented: “Congratulations to King Charles III and Queen Camilla on this truly historic day. Thank you for your service and for your friendship over the years. God bless the king.”

Catherine Zeta-Jones (53) also congratulated with joint photos. The Welsh-born actress wrote on Coronation Day : “God save the King. God bless the Queen. All my love to King Charles and Queen Camilla. Right now here I am in the UK, dressed in my best, eating scones with clotted cream and drink a lot of English breakfast tea.”

Ex-Beatle Paul McCartney (80) had already given the monarch a joint picture with Charles in the morning: “Enjoy this special day in the history of our country – Paul.”
