It had previously been read that Harry wanted to fly home immediately as his son Prince Archie celebrated his fourth birthday on Coronation Day. Wife Duchess Meghan stayed in California with Archie and their almost two-year-old daughter Lilibet anyway.
Harry will therefore not have a private family dinner at Buckingham Palace. However, it was unclear whether he was even invited given his serious allegations against the palace. At the coronation, the fifth heir to the throne sat in the third row, alongside Jack Brooksbank, husband of his cousin Princess Eugenie, and 86-year-old Princess Alexandra, a cousin of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.
