Tom Hiddleston and mark hamill will star in the new adaptation of Stephen King”The Life Of Chuck” of the director of doctor sleep and The Haunting Of Hill House, Mike Flanagan.
Based on the short story from the anthology If It Bleeds King’s 2020, The Life of Chuck are three separate stories linked to tell the biography of Charles Krantz in reverse, beginning with his death from a brain tumor at age 39 and ending with his childhood in a supposed haunted house.
The script, which was adapted by Flangan before the writers’ strike, has been in the works for several months with Hiddleston set to play the title character and Hamill attached for the role of Albie.
According to the production, the genre project will be tonally based on stand by me, The Shawshank Redemption and Green Mile.
Stephen King, also known as ‘The King of Terror’, is among the best-selling authors of all time. Among his books and stories that have been adapted into successful films are Carrie, The Shining, pet sematary, Item, stand by me, The Running Man, The Shawshank Redemption and Green Mile.
This is the latest project to join FilmNation’s huge Cannes market shortlist. Also in the lineup are the comedy Amy Adams and Paul Rudd The Invitethe action thriller of Dave Bautista The Cooler and the project of Andrew Garfield Voyagersamong others.
