The American actor Robert De Niro (79) has become a father for the seventh time. The Hollywood star initially indicated that. When asked about his supposed six children, De Niro corrected the interviewer and explained: “Actually seven. I just had a baby.” A spokesman for the actor then confirmed the news to multiple media outlets.
Neither the sex nor the name of the baby are known. The spokesman also did not specify who the mother of the child is. However, Robert De Niro is said to be in a relationship with martial arts teacher Tiffany Chen.
De Niro doesn’t see himself as a ‘cool dad’
The Hollywood star has children Drena (51) and Raphael (46) with ex-wife Diahnne Abbott (78). He shares twins Julian and Aaron, 27, with ex-girlfriend Toukie Smith, 70, and ex-wife number two, Grace Hightower, 68, son Elliott, 25, and daughter Helen, 11. De Niro separated from Hightower in 2018, and in 2020 the ex-couple agreed on custody of their daughter.
In an interview with ET Canada, De Niro revealed that he doesn’t consider himself a “cool dad”. “I’m okay. My kids sometimes disagree with me and they are respectful. My daughter, she’s 11, sometimes complains about me and I argue with her.” As a parent, you just have to be strict about some things. “There’s no way around it with kids. I don’t like having to legislate and stuff like that. But sometimes you just don’t have a choice.”
