After an infection, the Norwegian king is still on the mend. And an open question could now be clarified.
Norway’s King Harald V (86) is fit enough after his hospital stay to attend the Norwegian National Day celebrations on Wednesday. The Norwegian royal family announced that the monarch would wave to the children’s parade from the castle’s balcony. The big children’s parade, in which many schools take part every year, is a highlight of the national holiday that Norwegians celebrate on May 17th.
Whether King Harald would be able to attend the celebration was uncertain until Tuesday. The monarch came to the Oslo National Hospital last week because of an infection, but was released on Monday.
