Model alarm at “Die Bergretter”. In season 15, “Germany’s next top model” juror Heidi Klum takes on a guest role in the popular ZDF format. You can find out how this came about here.
Almost 6 million people followed the 14th season of “Die Bergretter”, which ran every Thursday on ZDF until the end of April – including one or the other prominent face like Heidi Klum.
As Tom Kaulitz revealed last fall in the joint podcast with his brother Bill, he regularly watches the episodes of the German adventure series with his wife Heidi in Los Angeles. When the main actor Sebastian Ströbel, who plays the head of the mountain rescue service Markus Kofler in the ZDF series, got wind of it, he started a call on Instagram.
Heidi Klum’s wish comes true
In a reel, the 46-year-old said in November: “Good morning, dear Heidi, dear Tom. What did I find out while listening to the podcast (…) yes, of course we are very happy about that. That’s why we’re coming in Ramsau and then we hang out together a bit. What do you think?”
Shortly thereafter, Klum contacted Ströbel and expressed the wish to be able to play in “Die Bergretter”, the actor tells the “Bild”. Said and done. Filming for the 15th season is currently in full swing, with none other than top model Klum present.
“She’s a total professional”
“Yes, that’s right, I’m in! I’m really happy that I can play with the ‘mountain rescuers’,” confirms Klum. She says about the series: “The overall package is right. There are always many accidents, but in the end everything will be fine.” With “Die Bergretter the world is still fine, it’s always exciting, the people are nice and it reminds them of home,” enthuses Klum, who originally comes from Bergisch Gladbach. It’s “a wonderful contrast” to her life in Los Angeles.
The 49-year-old has not yet revealed details about the role and her appearance. The only thing that is certain is that her name is Isabelle Klett and that she will be seen in episode 2 of the new season. “Of course it will be action-packed and – a premiere for her – dramatic,” says Ströbel as a result with Klum – and praises the model at the same time. He says: “She’s a full professional. Despite adverse circumstances and an uncomfortable hillside, she mastered everything with flying colors. No whining, no airs and graces. Great.”
Dizzying heights and hot kissing scene
Heidi is also enthusiastic about the shooting and hopes that it won’t be the last time. It was just as exciting as it looks on TV, she enthuses. “Things were high and I was literally hanging on the ropes. This time I had to push my limits myself. I’ll still have sore muscles next week. Not to mention the kissing scene…”

According to ZDF, the new season “Die Bergretter” will start in autumn 2023. But probably not too early, since the shooting alone will last until September of this year.
