Helmut Berger’s wife Francesca demands an investigation into the cause of death

“I am shocked by the tragic news of his death. But I want clarity about the death of my husband and about the entire last period of his life in Austria,” she said. “Too many things do not add up and the cause of death is not clear. I will call on the Austrian judicial authorities by all means to clarify the true cause of death, the circumstances and the way he has lived for the past few months,” said the 64-year-old to the Adnkronos news agency. She was planning a trip to Salzburg, where Berger lived.
