Anna Maria Mühe and Florian David Fitz receive this year’s Bavarian Film Prize. The announcement is a break with tradition.
Instead of the usual announcement on the evening of the award ceremony, the Bavarian Digital Ministry has already announced who will receive the Bavarian Film Prize in two of the most important categories on June 16th. Anna Maria Mühe (37) is honored as best actress and Florian David Fitz (48) as best actor.
So far, only the honorary prize has been published in advance.
First film prize for Anna Maria trouble
Trouble receives the award for her role in the drama “The Story of a Family”, which will be shown in cinemas from mid-July. The jury of the Bavarian Film Prize praises “the impressive intensity and screen presence” of the actress. Florian David Fitz is honored for his roles in two films: “Oskar’s Dress” and “Wochendrebellen”. According to the jury, the actor “succeeded in mastering the art of To create roles in such a way that it’s just fun to watch him on the screen”.
For Anna Maria trouble it is the first award with the Bavarian Film Prize. Florian David Fitz received the “Bavarian Oscar” in 2010 for his book on the film “Vincent will Meer”, and the film also won the audience award.
The award ceremony will take place on June 16 at a celebratory gala in Munich’s Prinzregententheater. BR will show the event from 10 p.m. Christoph Süss (55), who is celebrating his 25th anniversary as moderator of the weekly BR show “quer” this year, will lead the evening again.
