For the fifth consecutive year, the comprehensive real estate company opens the call for a new edition of the Azcuy Awardin alliance with the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires and the Azcuy Foundation.

The recognized national scope contest this aimed at artists Argentine individuals or groups (or with residence in the country for more than three years). Your mission is recognize, disseminate and promote local artistic production, stimulating the enhancement of national art.

At the close of the call, a jury of experts made up of artists, curators, representatives of the Modern Museum and the Azcuy Foundation will select 5 finalists who will be awarded a stimulus prize of the equivalent of $1,000 dollars in Argentine pesos according to the settlement of the day to develop their proposals in greater depth that, later, they will present again to the jury. The winning work will emerge from this presentation, which will be announced at the end of August. The artist will receive a prize of the equivalent of $10,000 dollars in Argentine pesos according to the settlement of the day and the production of his work, which will begin as soon as the contest is over under his direction and supervision.

The jury for the 2023 edition is made up of Victoria Noorthorn (Director of the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires), Diana Campbell Betancourt (Artistic Director Samdani Art Foundation) Sebastian Gordin, (Plastic artist), Adriana Bustos(Visual artist), Jimena Ferreiro (Curator Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires), Sun Juarez (Azcuy Creative and Innovation Project Manager and Cultural Management of the Azcuy Foundation) and Gerardo Azcuy (Founder and General Director of AZCUY).

“The contest seeks to support the creative process of the artists who participate with their proposals that, once installed, activate the possibility for the residents of the building and the visitors to live together on a daily basis with a work of art specially designed for that space. Both sides are giving themselves a very particular, iconic opportunity that art offers: to be able to think and rethink today’s problems and bring those ideas to daily life. The objective is to continue bringing art closer to that dialogue with architecture and with our community of owners and people who visit the building”, he explains. sun juarez, Co-creator of the Azcuy Award.
