Getting married is probably one of the most exciting feelings ever. With a couple from Lower Saxony, however, the big day was surprisingly topped. During the celebrations, chart-topping Nico Santos crashed the newlywed couple’s wedding.
Surprise visit at wedding
The 30-year-old took his fans with him to the campaign on Instagram. “We’ve just come from the first show of the year and we’re going straight to a wedding now,” says the “Rooftop” singer in a video.
Santos is currently on a big tour of Germany and stopped in Westerstede in Lower Saxony on the day of the wedding. Much to the disappointment of the wedding couple and the guests, who, according to the groom, all wanted to attend Santos’ concert.
“The groom wrote to me: ‘Nico, we’re getting married on the day you’re playing in Westerstede. And a lot of our guests had tickets for your concert and really wanted to be there, but couldn’t because we’re celebrating a wedding'” , reports Santos on Instagram. “And then I said: ‘Then we’ll bring the concert to you.'”
Bride is close to tears
In the video, the singer shows how he surprises the newlyweds at the celebration. Completely overwhelmed by the moment, the bride is close to tears. Then Santos sings several of his hits, the highlight of the surprise performance: the love ballad “Real Love”, which will be released on May 26 with his new album “Ride”, was written by the native of Bremen for his wife Aileen.
“That was so cool. Crashed a wedding for a short time and went home again. That was super cool. Wonderful evening!” Santos beams afterwards. For the newlyweds, the singer made the big day even bigger. They will probably remember this moment for the rest of their lives.
On his “Summer Ride Tour 2023” Santos is currently stopping in numerous German cities. The singer will be on the road until mid-September, then the tour will continue at the end of February 2024.
