American rapper Fetty Wap (“Trap Queen”) has been sentenced to six years in prison for drug trafficking. A judge in the US state of New York set the sentence on Wednesday, according to the district attorney’s office. Fetty Wap, 31, whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, was on trial with five co-defendants. The charges included conspiracy to distribute and possess large quantities of drugs including cocaine, heroin and fentanyl.
The rapper pleaded guilty last August. The minimum sentence was five years. Prosecutors had recommended a sentence of seven to nine years.
