“Let’s suck it, Soizkammerguat!”

There isn’t much whispering around, but what you wish for in your own community is called onto the stage. “An outdoor pool” for example, that is missing in Pettenbach – “and more cultural activities”. In this respect, the Capital of Culture Bad Ischl/Salzkammergut 2024 has already paid off: composer, pianist and cabaret artist David Wagner is on the road in 16 of the 23 Capital of Culture communities until September 3rd with his improv theater group “Wagner & Co” (this time with Barbara Willensdorfer, Manuel Thalhammer and Daniela Wagner) to collect the needs of the Salzkammergut population. The kick-off took place on Whit Saturday in the newly opened theater of the Almtal Center in Pettenbach.

The shouts and wishes formulated in writing before the performance form the chain on which the loving and humorous acting and music numbers are threaded. At least the Leonhardi ride performed by Thalhammer and Willensdorfer would have the potential to become an annual ritual.
