The self-proclaimed panic rocker and painter can hardly speak at the moment, “let alone yodel,” as he says. He got the flu.
Panic rocker Udo Lindenberg has the flu. That is why he cannot come to Rostock for the opening of the largest exhibition of his art to date. “Can hardly speak, let alone yodel,” said the 77-year-old in a statement on Tuesday. “Then the days will come when I’m fit again.” The show in the art gallery of the Hanseatic city opens to the public on Thursday. Paintings, drawings and liqueurs are to be shown on 2000 square meters.
Lindenberg had declared that he wanted to make Rostock the “panic cultural capital in the summer of 23” – with the exhibition, readings, party evenings, film screenings, concerts and specialist lectures. The exhibition entitled “Udo Lindenberg – Painting, Music & Great Show” is scheduled to run until the end of August in the completely renovated art gallery.
