TikTok star Firat Elvito and his wife Begüm got married – in an unusual outfit. Instead of dresses and suits, they wore sweatpants and hoodies to the registry office.
Getting married in a flowing wedding dress and an expensive tailor-made suit, plus a banquet in a classy restaurant? Influencer Firat Elvito from Cottbus and his wife Begüm wanted nothing to do with that. At the civil wedding, the couple chose a rather casual style.
Elvito (3.3 million followers on TikTok) came to the appointment in black jogging pants and a black hoodie, and his wife also wore a gray jogging suit with the veil. The wedding of the two has been a permanent topic on Elvito’s social media channels for weeks, the influencer took his fans with him during the preparations, including the dance class. Now the couple has said yes – but differently than many followers expected.
Fans are irritated by the wedding outfit
In any case, the outfit triggered many astonished reactions in the comments. “Sorry, but that doesn’t work in sports clothes?” someone commented, while another user called the choice of clothing “super inappropriate”. And it wasn’t just sweatpants and a hoodie that saw the pair break with convention. After the wedding, they treated themselves to a snack in front of the registry office – with burgers from McDonald’s. “I don’t know why everyone hated it, but we love it,” Firat Elvito clarified on TikTok, where he posted several videos of the wedding.
After the ceremony at the registry office, the official wedding party followed – the fans were already speculating whether the pajama dress code would apply there. But Firat and Begüm competed in classic outfits. The bride wore a white dress and the groom wore a tuxedo. “Your dress is longer than the car,” Elvito marveled, and proudly posted: “I’m wearing a suit.” After the wedding on the Pentecost weekend, the newly married couple went straight on to their honeymoon – the two did not want to reveal where exactly.
