From August 23 to September 3, a new edition of the most important event of Tanguera culture in the world is held.
The 2023 edition of Tango bathe classic Buenos Aires festival that, on this occasion, will take the streets of the city from August 23 to September 3 and It will have more than 30 venues, including rooms, milongas, bars and cultural spaces.
As every year, we are going to celebrate the music that most identifies Rio de la Plata culture by the hand of established artists and the new generations of tango, through shows, exhibitions, concerts, tributes, dance, classes, movies, video clips, exhibitions, book presentations and more.
The festival also, adds to the celebrations for the anniversary of the Barrio de la Boca Where from the opening they will honor the different demonstrations that emerged from 2×4 in this corner of the city, the cradle of a genre that today represents Argentina in the world.
On the other hand, the film cycle will be held, which will be of vital importance with a record of 15 national and international productions linked to the culture of Tango. You will find documentaries, fiction, shorts and music videos, which as premieres and exclusive world premieres will be a milestone in this new edition of the festival.
The Tango World Cup turns 20
In parallel, the great Tango World Cup, which is 20 years old. This is the most important tango dance competition at the global level, where both fans and professionals demonstrate their talent in the tango categories of track and tango scenario.
After having gone through the preliminary competitions in different cities in Argentina and the world, from which the winning couples received direct passes to meet in our City with the local semifinalists, only 40 couples of Tango de Pista and 20 of Tango Escenario will reach the grand finale
In addition, as a novelty, This year the best senior couple in the Tango Track category is added, which will be for couples over 55 years of age. A final round will be held with the best averages from the semifinal of that category.
