High visit for the “current sports studio”: Prince Harry is expected there as a guest on September 9th. The occasion is the Invictus Games taking place in Düsseldorf.
Of course, the “Kaiser” was already there, even several times. Once he even sunk the ball fired from a wheat beer glass into the goal wall. Nevertheless, the announcement that ZDF sent out on Monday is a small sensation: Prince Harry will be shown on Saturday, September 9th, from 11 p.m. in the “Aktuelle Sportstudio”.
This will be the first guest appearance in the history of the show by a member of the English royal family. The reason for his appearance on German television is the Invictus Games. The royal, who now lives in California, launched this sporting event for soldiers with physical and mental injuries and illnesses in 2014 and is its patron. In September, the games will take place in Düsseldorf for the first time, with athletes from 22 countries taking part. A total of 500 participants are expected.
Prince Harry founded the Invictus Games in 2014
The youngest son of King Charles III. and Princess Diana, who died in 1997, was herself an army officer in Afghanistan. There he got to know seriously injured people – an experience that is said to have played a decisive role in bringing the Invictus Games to life. This sporting event was first held in London in 2014, in Orlando in 2016, in Toronto in 2017, in Sydney in 2018 and in The Hague in 2022.
To celebrate the day, the “Aktuelle Sportstudio” will be run by two moderators this Saturday: Katrin Müller-Hohenstein and Sven Voss will act together as hosts. Prince Harry is expected to come without his wife, but Federal Defense Minister Boris Pistorius (SPD) and participants in the Invictus Games will accompany him.

Meghan and Harry in Düsseldorf: the highlights of the day
However, fans of Meghan Markle can hope for September 16: the actress and wife of the royal should arrive at the closing event on that date and provide a portion of glamor.
