Eva Benetatou and her son George said they were on board the plane that got caught in a severe storm over Ibiza.
Last Sunday (August 27th) the passengers of a flight from Hamburg to Ibiza had to live through anxious minutes. The plane got caught in a severe storm over the Balearic Islands and was not given permission to land. A well-known name in Germany was also on board and, according to his own statements, suffered from double fear of death. Reality TV starlet Eva Benetatou (31) was particularly concerned about her son George (2), who had started the journey with her.
“Yesterday I saw death before my eyes”. “I’ve never had such a bad flight in my entire life. […] You can’t imagine how bad it was.” The plane circled Ibiza for almost an hour because it couldn’t land due to the bad weather. The pilot’s attempt to avoid the storm went completely wrong: “We’re complete shaken up, shaken up. Slammed high on the ceiling once. The plane just flew around confused. […] I really thought life was over now.”
After landing at the originally planned airport did not work out, the decision was finally made to land in Alicante. In retrospect, she describes the experience as “pure horror”.
She used to be a flight attendant herself
The fact that she is quite able to classify the chaos on board the plane has to do with her past: “You know, I flew around the world for four years, that was my job, I was a flight attendant,” she recalls fans.
The fact that she was on the plane at all was related to another celebrity lady. According to his own statement, Benetatou was “spontaneously invited to Ibiza” by godmother Claudia Obert (61), “together with the little one”. In the end, nothing came of it, and after numerous further delays, Benetatou and her little son started their journey home to Düsseldorf.
