The ORF will continue to refrain from broadcasting any productions in which the ex-castle actor Florian Teichtmeister, who has been convicted of possessing and producing tens of thousands of files depicting abuse of children and young people, appears. This was announced by the public media company on APA request. The ORF has been running this line since the cause became known at the beginning of the year.
Since then, only once has a crime thriller been broadcast in the night program, with Teichtmeister as an actor on board. It was said that this happened by mistake due to an “administrative error”. Marie Kreutzer’s award-winning film “Corsage” could be an endurance test for the broadcast ban. In it, Teichtmeister plays Emperor Franz Joseph. However, as is usual with cinema films, the strip will not be shown on TV for a long time.
