Five years after WOS was invited by Resident to participate in their show in the City of Buenos Aires (Hipódromo de Palermo, 2018), both artists release their first song together, highly anticipated by their fans and the world of music in general.
“Bastard Problem” highlights the social relief caused by government brutality, and presents a powerful delivery of disruptive lyrics that share a social position. The artists’ vision was to focus on the messages of individual societies that are in decline.
The video for “Problema Cabrón”
The video of “Bastard Problem” was directed by Residentco-directed by Alejandro Pedrosa and produced by 1868 Studios (Resident’s production company along with Sony Entertainment).
For the project, Residente chose and counted on award-winning international actors Alberto Amman from “Narcos” and “Narcos México”; Michelle Jenner of “Isabel” and Darko Peri from “La Casa de Papel”. The short film presents Residente and WOS in the leading roles as two brothers living on the margins of society, and being persecuted by the authorities.
Currently, Residente is working on finishing his second album through 5020 Récords under Sony Latin, in addition to many other film and television projects from 1868 Studios.
