With the musical direction of Ernesto Snajer and the voices of the singers Julieta Laso, La Ferni, Mel Muñiz, Soema Montenegro, Maggie Cullen, Maca Mona Mu and Ana Prada, it will be the turn of the cycle for the album “Chavela Vargas”, by 1961.

Originally recorded with the Lara Foster quartet, that album brought together twelve unforgettable boleros, rancheras and sones that marked the era, and that the artist who died in 2012 at the age of 93 later recorded again live, in the studio and in films directed by Pedro Almodóvar and by other established filmmakers.
This is how the performers invited for the occasion will bring versions of songs such as “La Llorona”, “Un mundo Rare”, “Paloma Negra”, “Golondrina Viajera”, “La Churrasca” and “Adiós Paloma”, among more.
The singers perform alongside Ernesto Snajer on arrangements, direction and guitar, Seva Castro and Lucie Delahaye on guitar, Felipe Traine on guitarrón and Diana Arias on double bass.
The concert will also be broadcast live on the networks of the Kirchner Cultural Center and on the free public platform Contar.
The “Essential Records” cycle has been held for several seasons at the CCK and has already had as its object of celebration several records by Luis Alberto Spinetta, Astor Piazzolla, “De Ushuaia a La Quiaca” by León Gieco, or “Livro” by Caetano Veloso, among others.
