Nobody could beat Taylor Swift: The 33-year-old is the big winner of this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. The singer was nominated in eleven categories and ultimately took home nine awards. Including trophies in important categories such as “Video of the Year” and “Artist of the Year”.
On the red or pink carpet of the award ceremony, Swift presented herself in a black dress from Versace – and was in good company. Black looks dominated the image of the awards ceremony, which took place in Newark, New Jersey.
A second big trend of the evening was outfits that showed skin, a lot of skin. The US artists Doja Cat, Tinashe and Doechii appeared half-naked at the gala. Performances that are probably only possible at the MTV Video Music Awards.
